I just saw something really impressive on a genealogy group I follow. A person reported installing the Remini app and showed an enhanced picture so we could see how it worked. It was phenomenal! The picture used was probably of a woman, probably taken @1900 and was blurry and badly foxed as such pictures tend to be. The "after" version looked as though it was taken yesterday -- even the strands of hair around her face were in sharp focus and her eyes looked out at the viewer in perfect focus. A few other people showed befores & afters and they were all impressive. I haven't tried it yet, but it's available for both android and iphones. Do google about it to learn more. There is also a version for Windows computers, although apparently the finished product cannot be saved. Surely there is a way around that! appsonwindows.us/apk/com.bigwinepot.nwdn.international/Hope this doesn't turn out to be disappointing. Judging by the results I saw, it would seem to be worth trying.

Yes, I saw the reviews, but the before & afters I saw from several people were really impressive. If I could get that kind of result from even just a few bad, blurry old family pictures it would be worth it. Screen shot was also my idea for a work-around. The person who told about the app & who showed a convincing before&after said that it was done using the free version. She is using the app on an iPhone. She also said you can do five photos a day on the free version. In the ensuing discussion on the facebook genealogy group, another person suggested further enhancing the Remini results with a colorizer from MyHeritage. At first I thought "why?", but looking at the pictures in this link made me think that it was useful to make the faces really stand out ~ www.myheritage.com/incolor

If you right click on the finished picture, does the menu say 'save image'? If any menu comes up at all.

I don't know. Someone else needs to try this out. Due to a mishap, I don't have access to my old pictures right now. Very frustrating, as I'd dearly love to try this. Obviously it wouldn't have to be an old picture, just any crappy picture would work.
The reason I shared the information is because I was dazzled by the results shown in the fb group. These were group members who are in no way connected to Remini.
