And 10km is enough to get a bit of exercise. Are any outoor markets open?

Gorgeous pictures. Paris seems to enjoy posing without all those people in the way. I particularly love the one of Saint Eustace & the one of Nelson Mandela park just below it. The black&white is totally stellar.

Cafés are trying to survive by selling things on the pavement.

Remember when it used to be easy to go to a place like McDonald's?

Staying tonight at a hotel just south of Lyon. Had to show my TousAntiCovid app to check in. I could have shown my German or Spanish app instead but decided I'd have a full house and put the info on all three. It's here I was going to go into the potato restaurant but when I arrived I was starving and it didn't open till much later. So I've nipped into the supermarket and had a hotel room picnic of various items including Lebanese taboule, Vietnamese spring rolls, a crusty baguette slathered in Boursin cheese and "Truite Fume" - this is half the calories of smoked salmon so I tend to go for that.

I buy the truite fumée not for the calories but because it is much cheaper than the salmon and I can't tell the difference in taste.

We are going to visit friends at the end of the week and I am going to buy trout gravlax tomorrow at the market. There is a local producer who has fresh trout as well as anything you can think of made with trout: sausages, smoked trout, trout tournedos, gravlax...

Had to show my TousAntiCovid app to check in. I wonder if the app developers meant to make a pun?

Remember when it used to be easy to go to a place like McDonald's? Now that could be used by a number of governments to support their Obesity strategies

I suppose it's the same everywhere -- covid holy water swimming pools were drained immediately in churches.
