Mossie that is totally awesome! I can see myself going over and over several times just to pick out the areas of London that I have visited in the last 40 years. Thank you so much for posting such an interesting view on London.

They have been handing out building permits like candy at a birthday party! Is there any space left in London that doesn't have a huge building on it?

I love comparing images like this, but it's always interesting to compares cities like London or Brussels with the cities that fight tooth and nail against high rises in the centre, like Paris and Rome. Paris made a few awful mistakes in the 1970's -- notably the Montparnasse tower and the Jussieu campus of the University of Paris -- but most higher buildings are exiled far from the centre. And the Montparnasse tower might almost disappear when it is made transparent around 2024-2025. However, plenty of high rises are ringing Paris and not just at La Défense.

I was totally flattered to be credited with this, if only.
Now the pictures, it just goes to show the vast amount of cash these people cream off. We had the big bank scam some years back when several 100s should have gone to jail, BUT NOT ONE did. Now London has become the cash laundromat for the worlds kleptocrats. Don't hold your breath for any one of them to get so much as a reprimand, let alone a punishment. Rant over but I am still fuming inside.

Mossie - You have been describing South Africa We are hearing the loss of Billions to Government scams. For eg: money that could have built 8,000 houses ended up building 11. Here we South Africans were merrily living our lives and all the time the ground beneath our feet was being eroded away. Even Judge Zondo who is heading the Commission of Inquiry has verbally stated that absolutely. NOTHING/Zilch/Nada will ever be done and no punishments doled out. Sickening is all I can say.

Mossie, I don't think "these people" are creaming off any money -- they are laundering it. How else do you explain the sale of multi-million £ houses in London and gigantic apartment buildings?
