Mick is on the phone & only able to copy & paste part of the As in that list. I love the first one and the (very un-PC) last one.

Whatagain, I find #s 2 and 5 to be the most British of the bunch. Aquatic- to get a good mark for swimming -- Aqua/water + tick (tick = ✔) Avalanche - to consume a meal in the middle of the day -- [H]ave a lunch A La Carte - muslim wheelbarrow -- Allah cart Buckingham -- Bucking is what a horse/bronco does when it tries to throw its rider + ham/pork/pig I love the "German" one about the bad child.

It took me almost a minute to deconstruct 'capitulate' so that I could understand it.

Would that I was that clever casi! You've been known to be pretty clever Mick. If you had said you came up with them I would have believed you although, I am a tad gullible.

As stated above, my sister sent me the list in reply #8. I then sent her Mick's list from reply #14 as a thank-you, commenting: "Just looked at the list again. The one that kills me every time is collapso. I laugh just typing it!" She thought I was referring to the list I sent her (#14), rather than the one she sent me (#8). Accordingly, she replied: "Wait, that one is not on this list—let me guess: collapso: A sudden fall whilst gyrating to a tropical tune." My sister, she is smart!
