That was fun. I haven't read most of the books but it's funny how we know the titles anyway. Kind of like when you catch sight of a tabloid in the supermarket and you know who those people are even though you've never heard their music/seen their TV shows or movies/read their blogs/followed their sport/kept up with their personal crises. I resent giving up limited brain space to celebrities, but I don't mind storing old book titles up there--they're more compact.

Like cryptic crosswords, it's like learning a different language, or at least getting on to the setter's wavelength. Crossword clues are exactly what the list reminded me of. And yes, I was particularly proud of getting #24. I resent giving up limited brain space to celebrities, but I don't mind storing old book titles up there--they're more compact. Someone with scoliosis might have a hunchback. The "fighting Irish school" is a very American reference. The school is Notre Dame university, whose football team is referred to as the fighting Irish.
