A few days ago I was feeling trapped and wanted to go somewhere....anywhere just to get a change of scenery. Then a rescue video popped onto my screen and in no time I was in Paris riding Bus 83 on a rainy day, and just loving it! When I found myself aboard the bus it had come from the direction of Avenue Winston Chrchill and over the Pont Alexandre III bridge. At the traffic light we turned right up Blvd Saint-Germain. Soon I was gazing out of the window all spotted with rain drops. I recognised the Restaurant de la Manon de LÁmerique at number 219, which is open to the public (although it is a Latin American Consulate last I heard). I saw I large building a little further on at 246 and looked it up. It is the Hotel de Roquelaure. Magnificent inside. Soon we have left the 7th arrondisement behind and are crossing the 6th on Blvd Raspail and onto Rue dÁssas. Here the Arrondisements of the 5th,6th and 14th seem to almost meet up before the bus reaches Place d' Ítalie in the 13th, and the journey ends before we get to the terminus at Porte d Ívry. What a lovely escape from the confines of my house in South Africa!
Here it is if you want to come along.....

Yes, I've taken that line more than once. I also like the ones that climb hills from thereabouts to Northeastern Paris.
