Having this has a topic in one of my photo groups made me think that this would be a possible new thread here I am still absolutely sure what Bokeh actually, is but this is the explanation that works for me . Bokeh effect is a common technique used in photography where one element of the image is intentionally blurred. Emphasis is placed on certain points of light in the background, with bokeh appearing as a backdrop to the focal area. The subject remains clear and in focus while the background is blurred, with brilliant points of light helping achieve ‘good bokeh’.If someone were to say: “that image has good bokeh”, they would be generally referring to the aesthetic quality of an image’s background blur.
Apparently there is " good" and " bad " bokeh ...this is where I am not sure Anyway here is one of mine that I think fits the bill, live.staticflickr.com/65535/51222073250_0660d2facd_b.jpg

An interesting effect. The colours are gorgeous. If you are not too "buzzy" could you post the original so we can see the picture you worked on.

Thanks both. If you are not too "buzzy" could you post the original so we can see the picture you worked on. That is the original image Questa - I have not altered it at all, not even tweaked it which I usually do. I guess for me Bokeh is not about applying special effects , (which I guess you can on some super duper editing app,) more about creating the image purposefully.
