Yes, yesterday morning on Sky, they said that Larry had been out three times already "but no word yet on whether he is resigning."

The Queen is the head of state. She is so useful and so cheap to maintain.

I am often perplexed by some of the French names for government ministries but Minister of State for Brexit Opportunities and Government Efficiency takes the cake.

Pft. As long as we don't end up with Rees-Mogg..I'll have to join the revolution if we end up with him... I've never understood his seeming reputation as a putative intellectual. He's clearly as stupid as a box of nails.

By chance, I've got to know quite a few seriously rich people over the years. I wouldn't say they are actually stupider on average than ordinary folk, but certainly no brighter either. Lots of idiots within, just like any other group.

He has vastly more wealth than I shall ever have so he can’t be that daft. Inherited wealth and good contacts...and in his case, the unshakeable belief that he is 'superior' primarily because of the class he was born into. Education and opportunities most of us are denied. imo..

So what comes next ?- is there anyone in the Tory party that anyone would trust to be the next PM ? They are all a shower of shit as far as I am concerned - spineless and now jumping on the bandwagon of denouncing BoJo in order to save their own skins. Personally I am hoping for a car crash of an appointment, just to wreck the remnants of the Tory party for the next 10 years at least .

Italian center-left daily La Repubblica today ran a quasi-hagiographic piece on Wallace as frontrunner for the job headlined (my translation), "Now the Tory Base wants Wallace, the reluctant candidate". The piece also frames him as fitting the alternating opposite-PM theory in terms of "nerds" and "jocks" with this untranslated list: "Thatcher (jock), Major (nerd), Blair (jock), Brown (nerd), Cameron (jock), May (nerd), Johnson (jock)." A couple of those characterizations strike me as a bit ad hoc but, hey ho.

That sounds like something my cousin Buddy came up with wherein he claimed everyone and everything in the world could be divided into either asshole or jerk.
Biden, for instance, is a jerk, whereas Trump is an asshole. Cats are assholes, dogs are jerks. Boris is definitely an asshole, ditto May.
I'm in the jerk camp.

I doubt your media are reporting the various lunacies with which most of the contenders-you-wouldn't-trust-to-run-a-bath seem to be trying to out-UKIP each other at the moment. It may perhaps settle down once the rules (particularly the minimum number of nominations required) are agreed and the weeding-out begins next week.
