I saw this piece yesterday and read it with great interest. I'm forever bemoaning the fact that New Orleans and it's surroundings has no decent garden publication, even the weekly "column "sucks beyond belief. We used to have a feature writer who did some great stuff years ago. Hmmm.

Casimira, you are one of a few people that I immediately thought of when I read this article. In my imagination I was thinking of your great gardening OP's and posts. I was also thinking that you do what is one of my fantasy careers, landscape design and imagining a beautiful magazine...Or, if you were to do something re: New Orleans, it would be a wonderful gift to the community and there would probably be many who would love to contribute. Possibly you could get a small grant from one of the agencies concerned with restoring N.O. to pick up the minimal tab for the printing. Then, you would be free to focus on your magazine's creation. Your city has gone through such tragedy and turmoil that a gardening magazine would be an inexpensive pleasure....New Orleans needs any pleasure it can get, however modest...hmmm.
