Thank you so much, Casimira. Yes, I had that same reaction in Istanbul. How do they not just pass out right & left?
Thank you, Htmb -- I do treasure your compliments on my pictures!
re: dogs ~ good for your daughter for adopting, Whatagain. Tod, around here people say an adopted dog is agradecido, grateful. I don't know if those pups in the box had any takers or not. They had mange & it was obvious they would grow up to be big dogs.

Adamá serves family style, which I like when with a congenial eating companion. We had tabbouleh, baba ganoush, mujadara (1st time for both of us -- delicious, more than the sum of its parts), roasted cauliflower with tahini & pomegranate molasses, homemade flatbread, a red (hrissa?) and a green (chile & herbs) hot sauce, and finally little baklavas for dessert. Am I telling you this while you're subsisting on canned chicken soup in your isolation? Yum sounds so good now back to catch up and toi check out what mujarda is

Dear Bixa...you have done it again. Just as my country is sliding down to cold, grey winter you greet us with colour, warmth, music and a bunch of people expressing Life in it's fullness. The singing girl looks like the song she is singing is a "naughty" folk song...look at that grin! The costumes are varied and some are beautifully made. I love the "Bogies" (bougainvilleas) of course, and put me down as a fellow jacaranda lover. (a rural city in NSW has an annual Jacaranda Festival and is famous for all the streets lined with purple blossoms)
Thank you for braving the heat to take these beautiful images for us. There are too many outstanding ones to pick favourites, but machete man and the dancing couple are great action shots.

Thank you so much, Questa, & great call on the jolly singing girl. I don't think you could handle it here -- you would flip out over the endless cascades of bougainvillea.
