It has already been more than 10 years since our friend hwinpp passed away. Just imagine all of the things he would have shown us if he were still here.

I am not a foodie, but oh the music! That beautiful gamelan playing in the sparkling way native to Bali and the bamboo flute following the dancer's movements as she uses her whole body including eyes and fingertips to tell the story.
"If music be the food of love, play on."
PS Thanks Kerouac2.

That was lovely Kerouac. Time certainly flies and I can hardly believe it has been ten years since I started posting on Anyport. I always enjoyed his posts that opened up a whole new food education for me.

I am always touched and have a bevy of fond memories of our dear Henning. I don't think there is a member on here during his time with us who didn't feel the same. A generous, kind and thoughtful man, a friend to many of us, an "old soul" if ever there was one. Many an early a.m. I spent on here at the same time Henning was logged in and over time we communicated many, many personal messages always tinged with his wonderful sense of humor and genuine concern about the well-being of others. As Tod noted, he opened up a whole new world of his adventures with food and the culture of that region of the world.
I am grateful for being reminded of him albeit very bittersweet.
