Meudon is a rather affluent suburb west of Paris and it boasts a fancy park, fancy enough to charge a 3 euro fee. It has a lot of sculptures in it.
Over the years, I've seen quite a few things by Indian artist Subodh Gupta. This is one of the biggest. He makes everything out of kitchen utensils.
But then it was time to head into the woods.

The pots and pans sculptures are amazing.

The park has a big well tended lake in the middle, but when you go into the woods, it looks very much like a virgin forest even though it contains a number of sculptures scattered throughout.

It's nice that there are still these "wild" areas close to Paris. My in-laws used to live in Ville d'Avray and then in La Celle St Cloud and in both areas had easy walking access to woods like that.

Unfortunately, the last -- and best -- thing in the park, or at least what I saw of it, was impossible to photograph. It was a "sound garden" with all of the recorded elements of nature -- frogs, birds, insects, forest critters, wind, storms, etc. Buried in the wilderness, it was absolutely magical. I will return one of these days, but not on a Sunday, because the visitors were too numerous and were making too much noise with their mindless chatter.
