Lasne is the name of the municipality next to Waterloo. Named after the river - La Lasne. It is the 6st richest municipality of n Belgium the Lasnois make nearly 1.5 times the revenue of Belgium. The walks are beautiful well tended and charming.
Here some pics during our walk this week end.

Lovely, I do love a walk in the woods. What's going on in the last few photos?

You have such an eye for beauty, Whatagain! I would so much like to attend that Xmas market, even in the cold. But the the real winners here are those glorious landscape shots.

Whenever I see any images of this part of Europe, my first thought is of 500 years of battlefields finally at peace, so it is very comforting to see the evolution after so much blood.

500 from the square where the Xmas market you can find an old small bridge. And a post saying that the Prussian army was delayed a long time to cross this very small bridge en route to rout Napoleon.
(En route to rout … I didn’t even do it consciously …).
