I bought tickets last year and booked a hotel in Middelkerke, some kms from the park where the concert takes place. Rammstein is a German old power metal group that sings in German. The singer is only 61. And still in shape. About 50 000 people were expected to flock to hear him.

The tram was overcrowded. My science learned from several years of RER in Paris was very useful for us to get on board. Then we had to walk half an hour. The weather was perfect. We walked. We is my daughter and I. Then we arrived. The entrance was difficult to miss.

My nephew joined us. Time to queue. Queue to get the card that allows payment - cashless. Queue to pee. Queue to eat. Queue to drink. Queue to buy a T Shirt. The toilets were well organised nobody wanted to eat pasta and since you had a queue per type of food pasta it was. The longest queue was to get a card to use as payment. A card you could load afterwards. Why didn’t give them ?

The first part of the concert was 2 ladies playing the piano and not singing. Nobody paid any attention. Then after eating drinking, drinking some more and talking the show began. The scene was facing west. we had the sun in the eyes. Dumkopf ! It was fun to look back. they sent out flying black strips of paper. Lots of them. There were huge towers. During the show I bought a T Shirt - no queue.

Oh I LOVE Rammstein! I only have a couple of albums tho,..just watched a concert on Netflix My sons think that it's hilarious that their 67 year old grey haired Mummy likes Rammstein (especially when I sing along as I'm crocheting)...

Fantastic report, whatagain. Hellfest is on in France right now (27-30 June with 70,000 people). Maybe it is something to check out in the future.
