It was practically on top of the Mexican cultural centre, so I don't know if it was coincidental or on purpose.

I like the first one in #185 very much. The second one is excellent as art, but I think it's maybe too much of an assault on the senses for anyone walking by who'd prefer not to see it. This is frothier stuff, but somewhat interesting for the influence of S. Clay Wilson I see in it ~

Clearly Hugo Chavez did not appeal to all of the other artists. I thought this was amusing. The street nickname of my neighbourhood is 'Max Do.' Meanwhile; the common nickname of McDonald's in France is MacDo. So one of the artists came up with this rendition.

I just learned how to "read" these walls of street art, at least the ones with letters.
The letters are often the painter's name orsignature. It will be completed by smaller letters on one side or at the bottom, repeating the name. Other names will include members of his "crew" or group of painters. Then, there might also be dedications (dedicace) to friends.

This is the wall facing the parking area in front of my local market. I walked past when it was being painted, but didn't have my camera with me. Here's the finished wall, looking at it from right to left ~~

I was volunteering last Saturday in Downtown Phoenix and was able to find two more murals on my way there. Sadly didn't have more time to explore - as I believe there are more a few miles east of downtown. another day

Not sure if this has been posted somewhere else, but a couple of my GF who live in NYC posted this about "5Pointz" and I guess it's also very much talked about on Instagram. Very sad that they felt the need to paint over the street art and I don't understand the reasoning behind it. Considering it'll be demolished by the end of the year. Someone must have too much white paint and time on their hands. m.nydailynews.com/1.1521660#bmb=1

The " homme blanc" by Jérôme Mesnager seems to be making a big comeback throughout the 20th arrondissement.

Clever! Once again I am struck by the creativity of these, mostly, anonymous artists, compared to those who get a fortune for producing nonsense like Jeff Koons.
