Did you know, for example, that eating tofu causes dementia? Here

Japan does not show a significantly higher rate of dementia so I would tend to be suspicious what they consider "excess".

It seems to be one of those "blame the victim", in this case for not dong the "correct" things. The guy is selling his book, after all.

Amen to that comment, Joanne!
I often think that is the official cop-out, fall-back position for doctors. And if it's not something you yourself did to deserve your condition, it's your age or something else vague and irrefutable.

When you are old and toothless in Japan, tofu is probably all you can eat, so you are much more likely to have dementia by then. I think it would be possible to write a book claiming that eating french fries causes serial killers. I bet there are damned few serial killers who don't eat french fries.

I think you're confusing it with cereal killers.

Probably Grape-Nuts©, with the loud, angry crunching inside their heads forming itself into messages compelling them to perform their dire deeds.

Well there was some good news......statins. I'm on them every day, I don't get 'hot flashes' (which I always thought were called 'hot flushes') and I don't eat a lot of white bread simply because I have to travel 20km to get a genuine French baguette baked by a genuine French baker!

I guess it shouldn't be a surprise, but menopause seems to affect memory in many women. I hear it gets better. Eventually. I hope so, because Mr. Kimby didn't marry an idiot, but I sure seem like one sometimes!
