Even if you're not in one of the countries that observe Mothers Day on the 2nd Sunday in May, use the occasion to appreciate your mama! Oh. You weren't amused by that? Okay ~~ go the old-fashioned route, then. I highly recommend bookmarking this site. It makes it so easy to make a greeting card from one of your own photos.

I am so totally confoodled about mom's day!
In the UK it is in March. Also called "Mothering Sunday", which sounds a bit like one is killing one's mom! In Switzerland it is in May (whichever weekend that may be) In France it is also in May... but a different weekend to the Swiss mother's day..
Anyway, as I am sure to forget, I always call mom on UK's Mother's day and wish her a lovely day.

Mother's Day in France is the last Sunday in May except when that Sunday is Pentecost, in which case it is celebrated the following Sunday. That is the case this year so the Fête des Mères is on June 7th, the day of the European elections.

I remember my mum every day. I don't need a specific date.

Happy Mothers Day to all the Mums . Here in AUS it is the 2nd Sunday in May.
No breakfast in bed for me , kids moved out long ago. I will be treated to dinner at my daughter's house this evening .Roast lamb, I believe.

I demand equal time for non-mums! (and non-dads). I've only fostered non-human mammals.

;D Too true: I didn't own a pressure cooker until I was 54 years old, because those things blow up and you lose an eye.

oh, Bix!
My parents were away for a long weekend and had informed me they were not reacheable until today as they would only arrive home late on Sunday.
So I called them as soon as I got home and the first question was: Did you forget it was mother's day yesterday? You could have sent a text on your father's mobile phone.
What do you say to that?
But I love them allright.
