Tell us about your avatar. What is it? Why'd you pick it? Where'd you find it?
I'll start... Mine is a company poster depicting the entire Cunard fleet in the late 50's. My Dad sailed on most if not all of these ships. I found it on a site about old ocean liners while I was looking for a specific ship. When I look at it I think of the stories he used to tell us of his time at sea - it makes me happy.

Awww, that's really nice, Imec. I was wondering about your avatar. Have you seen this Ocean Liner thread? Poor Iain! Um, do you need a shave in that picture?

Yeah, I did see that. Some of you are very lucky to have experienced that - your ship is beautiful. I toured the Queen Mary when in LA one time - it was a very moving experience after hearing may Dad speak so fondly of it (it was his favorite), but it was also very sad to know that she (and he) would never sail again.

I took mine on the way back to Phnom Penh from Mondulkiri, a province in the northeast of Cambodia. I saw the motorbike on the van from the distance and only realised the owner was sitting on it after the van got closer. So I had to scramble for my camera! Here's one I also considered but the resolution is too small:

Great picture, HW! Looks like the motto there is the same as here -- "Sí se puede" (yes we can!).

I just wanted something as neutral as possible with an aquatic theme. I will not keep this one forever.

A stupa inauguration in Mexico 2006.
A very high buddhist teacher gave teachings. A rainbow appeared around the sun. True story! Just one of those moments in life...

The swallow is my favorite bird, how they soar through the air, their signature forked tail, their silhouette against the sky makes them recognizable immediately.(And they eat mozzies!)

Welle, you have a beautiful avatar, and such a beautiful story to go with it. Iain ~~ post, damn it, post! HappyT ~~ this doesn't look exactly like your Honey, but you could use this as an avatar right now. (& add to it when you get to 2,000!) Another: See what you can find here: www.freefever.com/animatedgifs/horses.htmlKerouac ~~ boooooooring! And I think you know what you can do about it.

I can never decide...my mood keeps changing... and I think I need some good avatar sites to look at. Thus, I am a blank. * It is a loooooong way from 500 to 2000 with no treats in between. *

Awwww, someone is pouting! You do need a stash of avatars, so you can change them with your moody moods.

This was the original avatar I used on another forum, my handle was Mercedes then. That explains the car and I have the same kind of coloring as the girl in the avatar.

Well, mine is obvious.
And I do dislike the changing of handles and avatars. I like to tell who is posting at a glance; changes confuse me.
