Time to change my avatar. Any suggestions, maybe I should get my butterfly back, I wonder if I can find it. Palesa...now may be the time for a fresh new avatar? hmmm...I am 1,344 posts away from 2000, the time of great excitement and possibility. We will have the supreme ability to have rotating avatars, but I still can't find even one. I am indecisive and moody.

A note about avatar size. If you don't adjust it, your avatar will be a default size of 65 x 65. Not only is this too small in many cases, but your picture may not lend itself to being perfectly square.
See how Iain's works because the picture itself is square, & he must have it set to the forum maximum of 100 x 100. Mine is rectangular, so I set it at 100 high x 75 wide.

Not quite sure if I am right but go into modify your profile and make sure that the Avatar width and height are both 100 (it's square isn't it?)

What HappyT said.
Set it to 100 x 100. After you click on modify profile at the bottom of the page, you'll see the results. If it's not what you want, just try different widths and heights until it's the way you want it.

Spindrift, how nice to really see your very beautiful face. (your friend is quite handsome, as well) Palesa, it's so easy to get bogged down in those avatar sites. Instead try Google Image searches for terms that might cover a picture or theme you'd like for an avatar. Use words in any combination to see what you find. For instance, look at all the pages of gorgeous hits I got searching the words "butterfly mandala": images.google.com/images?gbv=2&hl=en&q=butterfly+mandala&sa=N&start=0&ndsp=20. Since the hits are shown as thumbnails, you immediately get an idea of how they'd look as avatars. Anything found like this should be hosted on imageshack or whatever hosting site you use.

If I'm going to spend time on forums, I want it to be fun and entertaining. Not that I can't learn something too, but I'll read in my own space when I want to be productive. I look at this forum as if going to a social, or a picnic, or a reunion where everyone is glad to see everyone else and is glad everyone is there. I want it to be a pleasure to be here! I know some on here are more serious, but if I can make you smile or laugh, then I've done a good thing I feel. Happiness and laughter are good for the soul! Although Al Bundy played the role of an idiot... He was always there for his family. I admire that! And he made me laugh!
It's funny, but now I know everyone by their avatars before I see their usernames!!! We become our avatars huh!

Awwww, that's precious, Rikita. Your "crown" looks like one of those big bows little girls used to wear at the turn of the century (19th/20th), making the picture appear charmingly old-fashioned. You were a cutie! How old in the photo?
