I find it intensely irritating (okay, on a global scale of irritations only moderately so) the way the opening page jigs up and down. I scroll down, see a post I want to look, get the cursor over it - but by the time I have got my finger down to the bar to open that post the opening page has rejigged itself and I get something else entirely. I guess the fault is that Kerouac's fader is not the same dimension as the stamps it alternates with. Grrr.

Yes -- it irritates me, too! Some fine day the fader will change and the problem will go away.
You can't imagine the number of times I have clicked on the wrong line due to the page jumping.

Then you are probably using Firefox.

If you all are clicking on the wrong line, it's because you're going too fast. Give it another second & the page will settle right down. I use firefox, but checked it in IE & got at the most one jig.
And that extra second is more than compensated for by the very clever and rich selection of images Kerouac chose for the fader.

Then you are probably using Firefox. And I'm also using the plain skin.

I never use the plain skin, but don't have a problem with the page jigging up and down. One has to wait for any website to finish loading before trying to click on it.

No jiggling on my screen either and I change skins fairly regularly.

Funnily enough, I just "played and missed" exactly as Baz described! I blame him for it.

Iain, in return for that jab at me - have a look on Europe branch where you get a mention.

I don't get no jig, is that bad? Actually I do too, occasionally.
