My computer table looks out onto my porch where my dog Ginger has his food & water bowls on an orange crate "table". As I sat here typing, I saw my dog come over to the food bowl, which he never does in the morning. Glancing up, I saw it wasn't my dog, but short-haired brown female. I went out on the porch and Ginger came bounding up all happy. He'd brought his new friend over for something to eat.
I'd better not find a basket of little furry surprises on my porch!

When I was very young, my family's dog Tippy did one of those 'Lassie' things to me. He kept walking forward and looking back and whimpering so that I would follow. He took me all the way to the other end of the street. I resisted as best I could, because I was not supposed to be out on the street or away from the house, but Tippy was absolutely adamant that I must follow him.
We finally arrived at the yard of another house, and there was another dog there with a bunch of puppies. Tippy jumped up and down with joy and the other dog seemed to happy to greet me as well. I totally understood what this meant but never breathed a word of it to another soul.
What still intrigues me to this day is the fact that I was not Tippy's 'master.' That was my mother, because she was the only person who had the right to touch his food bowl while he was eating -- if I approached it, he would growl ferociously. Why did Tippy choose me to show his family?

That's a touching story. Tippy knew that you have a heart.

Why did Tippy choose me to show his family? He was planning on blaming it on you.

Bix, how nice that Ginger is friendly, I am afraid that Bonnie has become a little aggresive of any other dogs coming close to me/her, she barely tolerates Luc now.

Uh, Palesa ~~ he seemed pretty interested in things other than her personality, if you get my drift.
I had the sweetest terrier/dachshund mix -- just the smartest, most lovable dog you could imagine, but she could be quite cranky about other dogs bothering her. I think some dogs -- or maybe only female dogs -- get that way as they get older.

I think Bonnie just thinks she is a Princess and shouldn't need to be bothered with the underlings. Our own fault, she was raised as a Princess.
