Spindrift, I thought they were forecasting a heat wave in England for this week? You aren't missing anything except discomfort. Here it's 8:30 pm and still 33° outside. Not much cooler in the house.
Gringalais, have you been to Buenos Aires before? It's a great city. Not very restful, but it has a great atmosphere.

Mrs Faz has just been out to check the thermometer. It has gone down to 26. Max this afternoon was 34.
We are going to the Lot department tomorrow and will be camping for a few days. We have requested a site that is shady but I guess everyone does.

It is the most perfect day where I live. I am sitting out in my garden, it's only 8:30am, the sun is warm, there is no breeze, my garden is lovely and birds are coming to feed and bathe...I feel very contented and at peace...I shall have breakfast outside.

I remember a couple of years ago when there was a heat wave in Britain, I read on the news that the British rail authorities were worried that the rails would warp if the temperature went over 30°. javascript:%20addSmiley("%20;D")
Here it's still hot. I like warm, not hot. This morning at 7 am, it was already 26°. Right now it's 33° in the shade and it's not even noon by the sun. Storm forecasts for tomorrow, but we never get any.

Oh Jazz.....What wonderful Lalique 'angel flutes'..... I would love to meet you. Come any time. And you too, Traveler63.... Tilly's already here!
It's now 10:30pm and the heat continues thank goodness. I'm giving a lunch party tomorrow (smoked salmon, new potatoes, a salad with 'everything' in it, then local strawberries and cream, white wine).....thunderstorms have been forecast and I'm hoping the so-called heatwave will prevail.

Where are you, Cigalechanta, to have such awful weather?
There is deafening rain outside right now, but after an overly long dry season, I'm enjoying the cool, the mist, the green, the rain.

When you're all finished at spindrift's, throw the last crate of Krug in the basket and head to my place - I'll send a boat over the river to fetch you.

Well, I was thinking you'd come by balloon. You'd have to land where the one in the picture is landing which is a field across the river from me. I'd send a boat across to get you. We'd light a fire in the fire pit and anyone that likes to bounce could do that too. Hurry, I'm leaving for France tomorrow...
