They are having tremendous difficulty selling tickets for Madonna's concerts in France. They have already slashed the prices three times.
Have there been problems filling the venues in other countries?

Last September they slashed the ticket price for her concert at Madison Square Garden. Previously it would have sold out in no time.

Meanwhile, Elliott Murphy (an American singer-songwriter who moved to France in 1989) was on the radio yesterday telling about a visit by his good friend Bruce Springsteen, who had never been up the Eiffel Tower. So they went to the Eiffel Tower and waited in line for the elevators for an hour and half and not one single person recognized Bruce Springsteen.
But of course, that's more of a case of not recognizing someone just because "it can't possibly be him waiting in line like a normal person."

I'm not a huge Bruce Springsteen fan although there are some songs I enjoy now and then. The thing I have always liked about him though is his seemingly "normal" acting behavior when he comes into town here. On at least two occasions he has "dropped by" a neighborhood music club here and taken time to enjoy the music that particular night and then ask or oblige to sit in with the band and with no particular fanfare play along with them. When other musicians have done the same they always take center stage and do one of their songs and demand/command all the attention on themselves. (didn't mean to veer off poor Madonna but ... :
