I am going to be too busy as usual. Tomorrow morning I'm supposed to go to a test projection of an upcoming film (with questionaire, etc.) and then I have a rendezvous at the notary to finally officialize the purchase of my attic (after 10 years illegal occupation) with a sizeable cashier's cheque, and I'm already worrying about getting out of the screening room fast enough to get to the notary on time.
So I have stopped smiling. Carry on.

I cycled with the sun almost horizontal the last two morning.
And started singing a very out of tune version of this:

I enjoy being able to fart with gay abandon when visiting the nursing home, knowing that nobody will notice and/or care.

a cormorant landing in the river today. For a moment, it looked as if it didn't know what to do and the next you could almost see it on its face "ah! I'm supposed to be fishing!" ... and hop it dipped in the river.

I'm smiling now, because the two teenage boys that were over for the weekend have now gone home. (They are friends of my sixteen year old).
Quiet at last.

i smiled today when i was walking down the street listening to music - and at how differently i saw the things on the street and the people and all, depending what song i was listening to.

(I smiled after getting mine off when I was 20. Then I fell down a stairway and snapped off my front two teeth. And I had had nightmares about falling and breaking my new teeth. Then it happened. Be careful and enjoy your new smile.)

in my case they had to take my braces off, because the braces broke a tooth - that is, in fact, one of those metal rings that go around a tooth in each corner of the mouth to hold the braces. there was too much pressure in one, and one day the tooth just burst apart.

I smiled when the neurologist was surprised by something that my mother said during the semi-annual visit. The patients that he sees do not have many surprises left in them.

The little dog skidded on an icy puddle yesterday morning. Exchange of beaming smiles with the dog's owner.

I smiled when the neurologist was surprised by something that my mother said during the semi-annual visit. The patients that he sees do not have many surprises left in them. When my grandma-in-law was getting fairly senile with Alzheimer's she could still surprise her doctor with statements like "The only thing wrong with me is that I'm living with women instead of a man." (Referring to her around the clock care-givers and deceased husband.)

I am smiling at the thought that the office will probably close at 13:00 tomorrow, or at latest 14:00. And the same thing will happen next week, too.

smiling at my little brother - his neighbour girl, who is canadian and thus opening her presents on the 25th in the morning, was at his place on the 24th in the evening when he was opening his presents, and he gave her some of his packages to open, and then suggested to her they go play with the new toys together, now... when i worked in the daycare i saw so many kids who seemed unable to share anything, so it is good to know he likes sharing...

I smiled when I saw all of the flattened boxes downstairs with pictures of dolls and baby carriages and cars with flashing lights. Father Christmas appears to have found all of the children in my building, regardless of their origins.

one of my other brothers gave the little brother one of these cars today ,that you pull back and then they go by themselves. little brother was very excited and spent hours playing with it and shouting and laughing each time the car bumped into something... it is really cute how happy kids can be with stuff like that...

On the 2nd floor landing of my building today: I thought it was nice that they had thoughtfully included a safety seat for the doll passenger.

Looking at my 14 year old daughter's Facebook: 14 yo: OMG!! X and Y broke up!!! (2 celebrities) Friend: OMG! They were dating?!!! 14 yo: apparently!!! My (77 yo) mom: OMG!!! Who are they?!!! I really giggled over the whole exchange, especially the extensive use of exclamation points, but my Mom, who is kind of new to Facebook really made me smile. I called her to congratulate her on her wit with a 14 year old (and because my daughter was really tickled that her grandmother commented). I asked my Mom if she knew what OMG stood for and I was then instantly turned into a 14 year old myself. "Of course I know what it stands for. In my day, we wrote OMJ. (for Oh my Jesus.) I was alive before texting, you know." Sometimes, she drives me nuts. And other times, like today, she just cracks me up. I'm still smiling.
