Mrs Faz and I went to the doctor this morning. Waiting in the salle d'attente I picked up a copy of GEO magazine. I looked in some astonishment at the date on the cover: May 1980.
The doctor looked a bit shamefaced when told of this.

It must have been well-thumbed.

I hope that the doctor's medical journals are a bit more up to date.

That is a record!
Sometime in the late eighties I was in a doctor's waiting room and picked up a ladies' magazine. It took me a moment to realize that the hairdos, clothes, and advertisement styles were somehow wrong. The mag was from 1969.

Strangely the magazine was in excellent condition. I think the doctor must have been hoarding it.

Hmm. It was a GEO, you say? Were the pages with nekkid natives more thumbed than the others?

Actually, at my doctor's office, I don't think there is anything more than 2 years old, but just about everything is in tatters. When I think of it ahead of time, I bring strange magazines from my place to abandon on the table when nobody is looking.

So have you been to Salviac recently?

Bixa, this was a very tame edition. I could find no nekkid natives. The closest was an article on the Creuse (a department pretty much in the centre of France) and a photo of a middle-aged woman leaping over a bonfire (fully clothed though showing a lot of leg) while a crowd looked on. Apparently there is (or was 29 years ago) a tradition that when the last daughter got married the mother danced round and jumped over a fire and threw her panties into the flames. I leave it to you and your vivid imagination to work out the significance of this.

Disturbing.
Perhaps you should seek medical attention elsewhere.
