Seriously, profoundly, greatly BEAUTIFUL! Landscape, clouds, & photographically brilliant -- what more could one ask?

Thanks bixa, but all i really did is point the camera out the windshield (at 80mph) and press the button. And if i COULD ask for one thing, it would be that the truck (my favorite part of the image) was a cab-over and not a conventional. I LOVE cab-overs and there are so few on the road today - sad - but I do understand the need for safety.

On our trip home this past weekend. Thank goodness we were travelling north! The south lane was moving very slowly for miles and miles. This photo was taken around "gasoline alley" (north of Toronto), a section of highway that in the 1970's / 80's was well know for how many service stations there were. Now I think there might be one on each side.

On the road to the lake cottage during the wildfire season. Lots of smoke, no fires, near us. Record-breaking season for the state of Montana though.

I would just guess blimps are not commonly seen in the rural North Florida town of Starke. Seen as I was returning home from Cumberland Island:

Thank you for that HTMB. I happen to be a real sucker for blimps or AKA Zeppelins because as a young girl, I had the positively most poignant experience of riding in the 'Good Year blimp on my birthday (age 8) no less. My father took me on a drive to a small private airport out nearby where we lived.... Lo and behold if the blimp wasn't there and my father chatted with the pilot and the next thing I knew we were up in it. I know the sound of one when in proximity a mile away..... One of my all time favorite childhood memories. Something about that drone that I can identify immediately and gives me goose bumps still....

Didn't see the titles at first, but I guessed India anyway. The main thing I recall (since I never drove there myself) is how painful it is on the ears.

That's certainly going to be a change for Deyana after New Brunswick.

It was a coincidence that I was in India at the same time. I was in a completely different area to her though and I'm sure her perspective and photos would do it more justice than mine.

Oh Mark, you poor man! What a shithole the towns are. I've seen beautiful photos of the countryside but it looks like you cannot avoid the crappy parts. Now I understand why everyone I've ever met that has been to India - or a cruise down the Nile even, says go 5 star otherwise you won't survive. I thought I would like to do it the way the locals do. I won't survive that's for sure.

I'm made out of tough stuff though Tod. Though I admit living as probably nine hundred and fifty million do there would be beyond me.
It is said you hate India when you are there and love it when you are away.

Anyone driving to Paris from Germany or eastern France will see this just before the city limits.
