Calling it the Karakoram "Highway" is a jest. The first pic shows the road snaking across the landscape, the others show the road itself. I forgot to say we were at 11,000-12,000 feet above sea level, and feeling the altitude. and our bus making room for someone to pass. We dreaded the big trucks coming at us...below, at the bottom of the hills were the rusting remains of many trucks that fell off the mountains.

Yes, that "highway" is so famous for obvious reasons. I absolutely cannot imagine being a passenger in any sort of vehicle on that road.

Same for me. I'm afraid I'd rather walk.

Wow. Is all I can say to that 'Highway', questa. I want to travel on it. But then again I've always had a death wish

I agree -- the sun and shadows make the picture. And of course the protagonist.

Yep I think I would rather walk too, in fact I often have if the road drops away too steeply I insist on getting out, it has made for some colourful journeys Lovely pic Rikita , I guess a relative ? and also a fab pic of Angel in the sun and shadows Deyana

Thanks lugg. It's easy to get a good photo, when the scenery is so picturesque. The green doesn't take long to follow. Here are a couple I took just the other day, of the same area:

I like your pics of the happy-looking dog on the road, Deyana.
Nice variety of pics, Amboseli. That final shot is my favorite. So lovely.

Is that the Pont de Normandie in those first two pictures?

htmb, that photo of the red hill looks like a vintage postcard, if it wasn't for the modern cars. Somehow, the colouring has that mid-century, slightly faded feel.

Lizzy, I'm sure shooting through the windshield of the car played a big part. The picture was taken on the way into Sedona, Arizona.

Yes, Kerouac, it is. And the Pont de Tancarville in the last pic.
