Thank you Kimby, Jazz and Annie for your kind words. I guess as the veteran two time flouncer, I can say, once again, that people leave for their own personal reasons, whether on impulse,or in my case,an accumulation of 'things' that I needed some personal time to deal with. Some people can just step back and take a break and not post, not delete, defect, flounce, whatever. Others, may need the cathartic "pressing of the delete button" to make a statement,(in my case,to myself,"I need a f'n break!").The time away from the board can be a healthy way to deal with whatever.... Some of us are highly sensitive people, maybe too much so. I do hope that Deyana will use this time wisely and return when she is ready.I value her contributions and hope she decides to return. We,as a group, make this forum work,or not. The synergy is always in some kind of flux, and it is that non static energy that I value and try to enjoy.

I understand disappearing for awhile. I can't fathom deleting my account. Unless I had no plans to ever return. It doesn't erase your past posts, just your post total, and the ability to receive PMs - and the ability for others to seek out your past posts. As far as I can tell.
Whatever the reasons, I'm glad when someone who needed time away has decided it's time to come back.
(casi the break seems to have done you good. I'm enjoying your recent posts.)

Back at a previous site, I came very close to deleting my account a number of times... and then it was done for me.

Gee Kimby, thanks! Does this mean that the approximately 8,000 previous posts to this 100 or so had you bored or were simply not up to snuff? ;D ;D ;D ;D I suddenly feel so confident!!

Not at all, dear casi. You have completely misinterpreted my comment, which was intended as complimentary. Of course I enjoyed your old posts, too. I'm just glad you are back.
(And I've probably misinterpreted YOUR comment, judging by all the smileys. I don't do irony too well.)

Back at a previous site, I came very close to deleting my account a number of times... and then it was done for me. And soon after, it was done for all of us. Without warning.

It's a pity that some people make sarcastic remarks about those who have deleted their accounts...I suppose they forget there is such a thing as ghosting.

Spinny, don't worry about. I think those that delete their accounts once in while, show that they are human, and that's all. And that's a good thing.

yes, I agree, Deyana. I'm talking about two-faced people who make sarky remarks...

Welcome back Deyana. I hope we can all just move along now. That's what I plan to do anyway.

I'm glad you're back, Deyana, but I think I might delete my own account because my post count is embarrassing.

Yes, K2, you need to get a life. Not!
Your life is on here, and we won't let you get away. At least until your "good son" situation resolves itself and you can become a world traveller again.

..I suppose they forget there is such a thing as ghosting. What does 'ghosting' mean? Welcome Deyana. I think it's refreshing to take some time away, I've certainly done it. ;D

Jazz - 'ghosting' is my way of saying that people can 'lurk' online as a visitor and read posts without logging-in.....

I'm determined to get those bear shots this year, Kerouac. How much do you want to bet on it huh? I work on my book on and off, it's nearing it's end, but I still have a lot of correcting of (spellings/flow etc), to do on it. If you want to read it, I'm posting it again from the beginning on my site (here and now group).
