I thought it would be fun for us to post some youtube clips that we have made ourselves of our area, our pets, our weather or whatever else we may have videoed lately.
*goes off to make a video*
Post away!

To upload a video on youtube is quite simple, just click on the 'upload' button on the upper right hand side and just follow the instructions. Here is a clip on how to do it as well:

;D No K., she's just high on life!
Bixa, thanks for the links. I missed all those. The first youtube clip I posted was actually done a couple of years ago, (about my cat Pickles). I think it's a great way to show, whatever it is you want show. And really not that hard to do, once you get the hang of it.
I'd love to see more of them on here, just every day things, whatever comes to mind.
Spindrift, I'm looking forward to seeing some of own clips in particular!

That's a small sampling. I think we'll get more out of the videos if they're used the way we use photos, i.e., put in threads where needed. One of the great beauties of Any Port in a Storm is that it is laid out so that themes might be found and re-visited. That's the reason for the various boards. For instance, there is already a thread for pictures of pets (in Putting Down Roots) -- that would be a good place for videos of pets. There is even an "Everyday Life" thread in The Image Bank. I have two different videos on page two of that thread (#s 39 & 48).

That's so cute, rikita! Did you do all the drawings yourself? Maybe you could use that in one of your classes, the kids would enjoy seeing it.

yeah, i did the drawing... in paint, i think... was a lot of work actually... but i am not working at the daycare anymore, so the only classes i am giving now is spanish and english (each to a friend) - so my students there are a bit too grown up for that i think...
