Yes. I know. I had that experience today when I took down a curtain pelmet.

Excuse me asking, but when you give the floor a good cleaning do you use a scrubbing brush? I do.

Since you're on the top floor K. maybe "they" or "it" will all go "back" down.

No, there was nothing alive (or even dead), although I did find a few mouse droppings from ancient history. I don't mind assassinating dust bunnies.
No point in using a brush in my kitchen, because the tiles are completely broken and until I finally get around to getting them fixed, floor cleaning is rather symbolic.

If it is used properly, it won't look nice long.

You must have matching wallpaper and a matching apron to use it.

Love the brush!
I bought a set of tools that are all floral-covered. I suspect, if used properly, they won't look pretty for very long.

I know I'm culturally deprived but, how can a scrub brush LOOK British?

The flower design reminds me of wallpaper in old british movies casimira.

I see it now, it's that English cottagey look, kind of Laura Ashley.

Yes. It's made by Cath Kidson. I also bought a washing up brush in the same design. I sometimes buy pretty dusters just to have nice things around and lift my spirits when it comes to cleaning which I hate.
Bixa , when I come to see you I'll bring you one like that!
Actually I dispute that my scrubbing brushes look awful having been used. I keep an old scrubbing brush in the garden shed for cleaning out the birdbath and it looks fine even after many years.

My broom, duster, scrubbing brush and dishwashing brush have cow print design, used to have polka dots but I much prefer the cow ones.

It's true that scrub brushes hold up quite well. Since I wear crocs for gardening and flip-flops during warm weather, I keep a brush for my feet in the shower. It doesn't look any different from when it was new.

I'm exhausted today from cleaning my car and my house. I've cooked a huge casserole for tomorrow night. My would-be guest said she doubts she'd want a meal at night if she's eaten lunch. I'm afraid I told her that other people might want to eat if she doesn't. It took me 2 hours to buy and prepare the dish and it'll be cooking on low heat for the next 3/4 hours.

Yes, indeed. I have decided that being firm with her is best. She is inclined to talk too much.
