In the U.S. at 3a.m. we go into observance of Day Light Savings Time and set the clock(s) forward one hour. It seems very early to be doing this in my mind,I thought it generally occurred in April.

Here in Europe it's the last weekend of March. It seems to me that it is usually a week or so earlier in N America.

They keep changing the dates in the U.S. Already last year they changed the date for going back to standard time to November.

In the U.S. at 3a.m. we go into observance of Day Light Savings Time and set the clock(s) forward one hour. Oh hell. This is always so confusing. Does that mean that when everyone gets up at 7 a.m. in the US tomorrow, it will really be 8 a.m.? I need to go find out when Mexico springs forward so I can tell my Canadian friends here who will be just as out of sync with their folks back home as I'll be with mine.

DST starts on April 4 in Mexico this year, except for some of the border towns, who are observing the same time change as the US. Canada will be turning their clocks forward at 2 a.m. tonight, actually the wee hours of Sunday morning.

it always seems to sneak up now that they've taken to leap frogging it around. I thought there used to be some sort of formula for when. I'm just happy it is spring break for my daughter this year. The kids always have a hard time the first couple of days somehow.

Hmm. This site: www.seizethedaylight.com/dst/ says -- In the United States from 1987 through 2006, a daylight saving time period of almost seven months was in effect: from 2 a.m. on the first Sunday in April to 2 a.m. on the last Sunday in October. A law passed in 2005 extended the daylight saving time period by about one month, beginning in 2007. Thus for 2007 and beyond, the daylight saving time period is: 2 a.m. on the second Sunday in March to 2 a.m. on the first Sunday in November The DST Period in the United States: For 2005, from Sunday April 3 to Sunday October 30. For 2006, from Sunday April 2 to Sunday October 29. For 2007, from Sunday March 11 to Sunday November 4. For 2008, from Sunday March 9 to Sunday November 2. For 2009, from Sunday March 8 to Sunday November 1. For 2010, from Sunday March 14 to Sunday November 7.

I know that all of the changes have been the reason for some of the Windows updates.

I'm still trying to adjust to this. I love the extended daylight in the evenings..it's the later sunrise that has me in the dark.
