Thanks for this ever important reminder of such a momentous day. Pity the average American has no idea what the U.S.Constitution is and what it represents. I fear less and less people take it seriously and consider it antiquated,arcane ,and of little or no significance.

Yeah ~~ I always get a kick out of people yelling, "They oughta make a law!" The constitution is to safeguard again laws being made willy-nilly. Today also marks the anniversary of the Battle of Antietam, the bloodiest single-day battle in all US history.
