Hmmm... I am thinking that you are in the ironmongering business.

Eau,eau...oh! These are great. My absolute favorite of this sequence is the photo of the stone passageway with the covered motorcycle (?) and a bit of a car. Fabulous!

I am thinking that he was thinking, "The hell with scenery, the hell with culture -- bring on the foie gras!" But seriously, Imac, pay no attention to that churl in the last post. This group of pictures is more than wonderful! I can't stop staring at the one with the doorknob and the flaking paint -- just beautiful. (amended to add -- eek! Jazz posted between this post of mine and the one by the churl. Jazz is not a churl!)I love the ones of the utility covers -- an aqueduct to represent water, great! The wavy one is a beautiful design. * I don't know what it is about the first few pictures, but they are more my image of a colder, more northern Europe. (of course, I don't know what I'm talking about, either) Thanks for including the shots of the business signs for everyday stuff. That always gives a good sense of how a place feels to the visitor and the regular life there. *aside: the manhole covers in N.O. are so highly regarded for their design that you can buy jewelry and other items based on them.
