Can they be eaten? I mean, is it hunting season and if you catch one....?

Gad, I can almost hear them! You really got some great shots. I involuntarily recoiled at #4, for instance. It seems three-dimensional! Had to laugh at the last picture, though. I know you saw my pics from when I went to the States at Xmastime ......... those geese have a certain placid consistency standing in the snow, whether in southern Oklahoma or way north in Winnipeg.

Can they be eaten? I mean, is it hunting season and if you catch one....? Not hunting season (is in the Fall) and it's illegal to discharge a firearm within city limits anyway (not to mention, I don't own a firearm). Gad, I can almost hear them! I CAN hear them - damn nuisance at night.

As kids, we used to think you could catch a bird by putting salt on its tail.

As kids, we used to think you could catch a bird by putting salt on its tail. Ha!! My Granddad used to say that about rabbits!

Our grandpas must have been kindred spirits.

My Grandpy said that about birds as well. I asked my Grammy about it once, she said the point was if you are close enough to put salt on the tail, you are close enough to reach out and grab it.
