A latest new item is that Kerouac, after spending hours and hours each day, to the detriment of work, social life and eating, has reached this page on the internet - www.internetlastpage.com/He is only the second person to do this after some none-entity guy called Berners-Lee. During a recent interview Kerouac admitted he had been beaten to it solely because he occasionally felt an urge to do damn photo essays on some minor niche subject like space invaders. This caused him to waste time wandering the streets and then resorting to doing the graffiti himself and taking a photo of it because he couldn't find any more. Kerouac now has two choices. Either he starts again from the beginning or he spends the next few years hitting his back button. Which will he do? Stay tuned. Video on the hour - and a word from our sponsors to follow.

He's not disappearing, is he? He's just got to the last page, and now on his way back again. I'm sure he'll find various other clothing themes on his return. No need to worry.

I need the Paris Spring Apparel thread? How else will I know what to pick up to refresh my wardrobe at such chic emporiums as the Ste-Madeleine d'Outremont spring bazaar?

'Kerouac reaches the end', but is it the end? Where does this vitality come from? Inspired by Lisbeth Salander, I have spent the last few weeks diligently stalking Kerouac...standing miserably in the drizzle, snacking on a lot of ethnic takeout (needed to be near the subject of my investigation), swilling many cups of coffee, honing my photoshop skills...waiting. Early on I made the decision to station myself around his home...far too exhausting to traipse all over the city or, god forbid, leap on and off the Velibs. With the magic of my telephoto lens, I finally nabbed a shot of Kerouac renewing his energies between photo essays. This photo is not for tender eyes, it's raw and revealing.

I am bowled over that Kerouac has strained every neuron and muscle to reach the last page. Let us all, en masse, turn up in his attic sitting-room for further personal entertainment. He can sit on high and we can kneel at his feet listening to his guru-like utterances. I can leave the Uk at the end of April for the Gare du Nord where I can guide his disciples (Deyana, Jazz, OM, Bixa and other unmentionables) to his door. Bring cushions. The One Who Knows All is growing a long white beard.

I can leave the Uk at the end of April for the Gare du Nord where I can guide his disciples (!) (Deyana, Jazz, OM, Bixa and other unmentionables) to his door. Bring cushions. The One Who Knows All is growing a long white beard. Oh my god...his disciple! FFS!Once again, my ironic, rather black sense of humor, has gone totally flat. Ok. It just doesn't translate online. No more pathetic, erratic, futile attempts...dead serious from here on in.
