I can see it now- the all Chinese built NATO and American military air fleets of the future. Why not, you can't buy anything else made outside China any more?

Totally normal to me. Airbus has signed a major contract for thousands of airliners to be built in China in the coming years. It is the country of the future.
I just hope that it doesn't feel a need to use its military equipment.

China has never had much in the way of imperialist or expansionist ambitions compared to most nations of its historical power and size. I'm sure a few nearby neighbors and residents of peripheral provinces that have been absorbed would take exception but they've overall been well behaved indeed compared to Europeans.

But this is a new era, fumobici. Although impressive, it's worrying, when you take into account how ruthless the Chinese can be (look at Tibet, their human rights record etc). Yes, let's hope they never think of using these amazing machines in the future...

Can you think of any other powers that have not been "ruthless" in the past, Deyana? Egypt, Greece, Ottoman Empire, Japan, United States, France, Germany, England, Spain...

That's a good point, Kerouac. And that's why it's so worrying. What does the future hold for us all? We have killing machines coming out of our ears it seems. Everyone is in competition to produce the next, even more elite, even more dangerous fighting weapon. Even India is getting in on the act.
India and China alone make up a third of the world's population, something to be reckoned with...and to think about.

They don't look very threatening to me, at least compared to their competitors from Europe, America, Russia, France or Sweden.

I haven't googled them but I'd think they're made with Soviet/ Russian technology from the 80s or early 90s.
Never heard of them being bought overseas.
