For some reason this group is the phenomenon of the moment here, but I just don't get the appeal AT ALL. All their songs sound the same and the hair, super cheesy. I saw on the news the other day that there are actually fan clubs that meet weekly to listen to their music and discuss the band. How much is there to discuss that they feel the need to meet every week?

Okay, this is so awful that I'm going to have to delete my membership here immediately after admitting it ~~ I love RBD! I was a big fan of their soap opera "Rebelde", have one of their albums, and will happily yodel along with this song & others when I hear it in the supermarket or wherever.

I am quite sure they had a RBD-themed ice cream from Nestlé last year.

The mind boggles!
I think the real, big, over the top moment of cheesiness came on May 10 (Mothers' Day in Mexico) of the year of their biggest soap opera success -- around three or four years ago: Anahi & the rest of RBD standing in the shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe singing "Salvame".
It's a measure of what a major asshole I am that I actually get moved by this, especially when the camera pans over the señoras humildes, madres mexicanas.

La Noche played the opening night at the Viña del Mar music festival last night, I am sure the fan clubs were on cloud 9!

www.economiaynegocios.cl/noticias/noticias.asp?id=18856Well, it was Unilever, but they did have a popsicle. I was close. I don't think it is around any more, too bad, I could send you some stickers !

Imagine your being willing to eat all those popsicles for me! Just as well they're not available -- you'd be kicked out of boot camp.

Well, I think I made one too many jokes about La Noche. A friend swears she is going to give me the CD as a wedding gift.
