I am reading through all these breakfasts and the only appeal is porridge in the form of Oates, Maltabella, or Taystee Wheat. All sweet. The only savoury breakfst I can eat is fried, scrambled or omlette eggs with whatever - sausage, bacon, potato cake. I cant think of anything else appealing.

during our trip it was usually a bread roll with some combination of ham, boiled egg, salami, cheese, also half a bread roll with some combination of peanut butter, nutella, jam, and some juice or tea or coffee. back home now, today was a slice of bread wiht liverwurst, and a slice of watermelon and half a peach (one of those flat ones), and tea.

Creamy Meal porridge. A more subtle version of maize meal or should I have said refined version of maize meal. As it is now winter I have stocked up on a variety of porridge's. I have large flaked oats, Taystee Wheat, the Creamy Meal and Maltabella. This last porridge is made from Sorgum and is especially delicious. Of course the best part is that I get to have my breakfast in bed! Our housemaid makes a big pot for everyone to enjoy!
