It's the most peaceful, inviting and friendly place I have had the pleasure to live near. We are lucky enough to get more than our fair share of sunny days here, even in the winter months. I learnt today that 35% of people in New Brunswick have French as their first language, and sure enough you can hear people speaking it anywhere in Fredericton: New Brunswick flag outside of someone's house: Caught it in mid-wave!

There are some really lovely pictures in there, Deyana, and I like mixing in some of the more "ordinary" sights as well, but don't think we are the least bit fooled by your Canadian trickery! We all know what Canada looks like in the winter!

Winters here are a big --------> But I guess we have to take the good with the bad. At least the good weather months last a long time here.

New Brunswick is the only officially bi-lingual province in Canada. I heard one man on the telephone switching from one language to the other.

I'm always surprised at how much Canadian towns/cities look the same from one place to another. Those pictures are pretty, but they could just as easily be in southern Ontario or Saskatoon. Even the suburbs look alike. The pictures of the residential streets look exactly like where my sister used to live outside Toronto.

Lots of the northern U.S. could be said to be quite similar as well -- except one thing I notice is that it all appears more spacious than American towns (bigger pieces of land for each house), which is only normal since there is so much more space!

baz, that's truer than you think. Often bi-lingual people will go from one language to another, sometimes without realizing it. I do the same with Punjabi, but only when I'm around other Punjabi speaking people. (which is rare).
bjd, I've found that there are quite a few very nice little towns in Canada. The big trees, I think, make a difference.
Keoruac, yes, space in not as much of an issue here, as in some other places. Although you'd be surprised just how expensive even one lot here in the City can be. Much cheaper out of town of course, at least for now. Fredericton is expanding out way...
