I'm so jealous! It looks fabulous and I have never been further than where the old station was and one can go down the stairs to continue up tp Place F.Eboue.

Beautiful, love the photos of all the flora but the blossom trees are really lovely - Paris in springtime to a T. I was trying to work out what the photo is of - below where you talked about pollinators - I think its Rosemary -is that correct ? I don't know what it is but it is not rosemary, which has blue flowers of a difference shape.

I have no idea what they are even after a Google image search (Google kept saying 'lavender' even when using my photo as a start, but no). Then I tried searching for "flowering plants along the Promenade Plantée" (in French of course), but that was also a dead end. And speaking of dead, I saw that there is also a project to extend the Promenade Plantée all the way to the Bois de Vincennes (another 800 metres), but it is clearly not a trop priority.

Hasn't changed much since I added some photos (now gone) to this thread. The tunnel's been spiffed up however.

I'm usually pretty good at plant identification, but that one has me stumped. Even my GF who works in a plant nursery didn't know it.

This tree could probably tell a lot of stories about things it has seen over the years. Kerouac - I am desperate for you to photograph the "Handerchief Tree"in the Park Monceau. If you enter the main gate- it is on you left growing on a patch of grass near a walkway. It should be covered in wonderful blossoms.

it is on you left growing on a patch of grass near a walkway. No I think that's wrong. It is on the corner of the first alley to the right - the beautiful Davidia tree that has the name "handerchief tree" because of the flowering bracts in Spring.

I am very frustrated, as I've spent a fair amount of time searching for the ID with no luck.
On a jollier note, these pictures of the Promenade in Spring reawakening are absolutely beautiful. Kerouac, as an intro to the latest chapter you said something about it being the same walk, but really it is decidedly different acccording to the season, as the photos prove.

Mrs M woke me up last night to say I'd been screeching "My precious".
I'd been Tolkien in my sleep.
