Still stifling in Paris. The storms are unfortunately avoiding the city. I was watching the Roland Garros tennis tournament on the TV today and it looked bloody hot. The players looked quite drained and although there was a little rain it never seemed to be enough to stop the play.

We haven't had any of the forecast rain either. Yesterday was hazy and it only went to 26°C so it was quite bearable.

We haven't had any of the forecast rain either. Yesterday was hazy and it only went to 26°C so it was quite bearable. I take that back. It just started to pour here. 39° is just too hot, Rikita. Are you planning to go toward the coast at all?

yes, we will spend the first two days at the coast, then a few days in marrakesh, then into the desert, then up north and from there back to the coast ... so we will catch some heat, can't be avoided though ...

Sunny with some big white clouds blowing from the north because there is a fairly strong wind. 22° at the moment but it should get a bit higher during the afternoon.

been raining steadily for the past 4 hours. Most unusual. At least the garden needs it

It rained all night....it rained all morning...and it rained when I took the dog over the golf course for a walk. We both got soaked through even tho I had my wellies and big waterproof coat on...largely because I won't put the hood up so the rain went down my neck. It is still raining. *sigh*

What do you mean, "the garden needs it", Mossie? It looks like a jungle.

How dare you, that IS my jungle and this rain is exactly what it needs to encourage stronger growth

That doesn't sound great Huckle. We've just had 2 days of gales so I'm putting the garden back together.

28° in Paris today, but it is a fluke.

30° in Toulouse and it's not a fluke. It is windy but the windy is from the southeast, so not refreshing.

Was up to 40 degrees today, so we went to a waterpark. Expensive outing, but Agnes loved it ...

Sunny and 34° here. Supposed to get hotter tomorrow, but at least a bit of wind has started to blow. Of course, this is the time we decided to redo our living room. I painted the ceiling and walls on Sunday (35° outside!) and yesterday. Right now we are moving furniture around to change the layout and having to put back a ton of books. It does look nice though.

Good old Wisconsin thunderstorms! I love counting seconds between flash and crash (and dividing by 5) to see how close the lightning strikes are.
Tornados and large hail I can do without, though.

Rain, rain, rain and more rain. Eight days of it in a row in the past 2 weeks. Then a brief reprieve and now four more days in a row of it with brief intervals. The frogs and toads are most happy as are the mosquitoes. The garden is a massive jungle. The temperatures are in the 80F's and muggy, muggy...

Well, at least we don't get muggy, but it has been 34-35°C for the past few days. I would never want to live in a tropical climate.

15C, cloudy with some rain showers. My husband is out scrubbing the decks around the house, there is a lot of pollen remaining that is usually washed away by the rain by mid June.
We were in Ottawa for a few days this week and it was reported it felt like 38C due to the temperature combined with the humidity.
Hope you are having a great holiday Rikita!
