It's only 10 a.m. here & it's already 80°/26.6 and forecast to go up to 88/31. To add to the fun, the "feels like" temperature right now is supposedly 90/32.

Still lots of showers, but the temperatures are rising as we approach our promised "summery" weekend.

It was already 19° at 6 am today, we should get another 10° under a hazy sky.

The weather here is crazy. After that scorcher on the 2nd, it's been days of very cool temperatures, starting with hours of cold rain on the third. It's 8:30 am here now & in the low 60s, but will climb another 10 degrees during the day. Then tomorrow & through Thursday, it's supposed to be in the 80s and 90s again.

Shite here - extremely blowy and cool, with rain thrown in at unpredictable times. How I long for some solid warm sunshine. There has been no ( ok exageration) but very little ( no exageration) respite here from unrelentless rain.

After the winter that wasn’t, we’re now having a spring that isn’t. Time to head to Florida to close up for hurricane season, which is projected to be a record breaker! (And with almost no snowpack, our fire season in Montana could also be a record-setter.)

The weekend's high 20s disappeared with massive downpours yesterday evening and during the night. This morning it was 9°.

Sun and clear sky this morning, so only 7°. It should get to about 20° later and warmer on the weekend, before temps drop again next week. Very weird.

In Flemish beautiful weather is ‘schitterend weer’. Today we can call it shiterend weer. (Pronounce Schi half way between shee and ski).
Yesterday storms hail wind lightnings. Today much of the same.

It's supposed to be cold for the next ten days. And when I say cold, I mean the farmers are getting out their smudge pots and other devices to save the fragile blooms on the trees and the first buds in the vineyards.

It's 20°c here right now, at almost one in the morning, so not nearly cool enough. Today & yesterday were brutal, but there is a thundershower promised for tomorrow. Let it be so!

Hot & humid here, with temps in the 80s. Supposedly it will go down to the mid seventies on Monday. In central France, they got down to about -4° last night while overheated Paris only got down to 8°. This makes me remember back to TTR and the early days of anyport. Kerouac would post pictures of Paris in May and I was all shocked by all the people in puffy jackets. Obviously I never came to terms with this facet of Europe. When I went to Italy in May of 2019 I was forced to buy sweaters to insulate my heat-loving bod from the cold wet misery of "sunny Italy". Never having been to France in April or May and since I'm happily unrealistic, France yet remains in my mind as a happy land of sunshine and flowers. Another lousy spring.Roll on September. You just tossed aside all of summer, Mick?!

September, October, November seem to be our best months now. Only June last year had any semblance of summer.
When I was out yesterday there was a big roadside sign saying “gritters on standby”. It’s late April FFS!

What does "gritters on standby" mean?
Mick, don't forget that only 2 years ago, you were all complaining that it was too hot and dry and that temps reached 40° in England.
Sunny and 7° this morning, we should get close to 20° again this afternoon.

Lorries waiting to grit and salt the roads in the event of ice or snow. Neither of which were actually going to happen.
Local authorities overkill.
5c here going up to a sweltering 10c. Cloudy.
