I have always been impressed by Daniel Lavoie, who can do completely different versions of his songs in both languages of the country.

These are cool Imec. I don't know if I would refer to Celine Dion as innovative though Deyana,more mainstream perhaps,no? I wish these artists got more air play on US radio. So many don't, here, anyway. One of our radio stations out of Tulane University will occasionally highlight these guys. Thanks for this,would love to hear more.

I heard about Lhasa de Sela in Canada this year. Thought she was Canadian, but no.

Oh my goodness, Bjd. This is the first I ever heard of her, and thank you for that.
Looking at her wikipedia entry, it seems she was sort of Canadian by choice, at least.
