Great programme on the BBC last night.
Filth in Paris pre revolution. Apparently 300 tons of human waste were dumped in the Seine each day plus all the detritus from the tanneries, abattoirs etc. It was totally fascinating.
Over the next 2 weeks they'll do the same for London and Manhattan.

In Paris, I only get BBC World and BBC Entertainment (formerly BBC Prime).
