Lodging a Complaint!

In my job, I must frequently counsel teenagers who want to "do it all" when faced with the multitude of options available. One might want to take drama classes, while swimming competitively, marching in the high school band, and participating in math team; while another's goal is to be a fully participating member in as many different service and leadership groups as possible, all the while remaining academically strong. Many feats can be accomplished by those who are talented and hardworking, but it's darn near impossible to do it all. There is not enough time in the day and teenagers often do not cope well when faced with this fact of life. Try telling them some choices must be eliminated and other time-allotments pared down to allow focus on a smaller range of activities and you often get blank, confused stares. It takes prioritizing, which many teenagers often find difficult.
Choices, decision making, prioritizing. Learn it kids!
So, now that I feel the clock beginning to tick loudly in my ear, and I have many things I want to do with seemingly much less time to be able to physically participate, why is it I'm having such a difficult time prioritizing my own to do list? In fact, I don't even HAVE a proper "to do" list. It's just a jumbled mess of choices and options all mixed up in my mind. Too many things to do, not enough time and certainly never enough funds to finance them all! I actually think AnyPort ispartially majorly to blame. Many times I'll read a new post and think, "I want to do that/go there," or I'll discover old posts about travels many took in their youth and bemoan the facts of experiences I missed. Reading old posts can often be very detrimental to my already sleep deprived self. I really need to stop!
So I'm wondering if others here have had a similar experience. How do you prioritize and plan, while at the same time enjoying the process of each experience as it comes? Is AnyPort to blame? Should I switch to reading romance novels and create a whole new set of problems for myself? I could really use some direction here. Can anyone else relate?
