And I am thinking that now Chelsea know exactly how the smaller teams feel after visiting Stamford Bridge... convinced that they have been robbed. I guess when you are accustomed to having every single ref call go your way, it must be difficult when it suddenly goes the other way. Terry... Wanker! Drogba... Wanker! Ballack... crap Wanker!!! They forgot about the pen denied Barcelona in the first leg when he was wrestled to the ground?

To be fair, I am GLAD Chelsea had such alledgedly clear pens denied, and quite possibly got cheated out of a victory. EVERY match, Drogba throws himself to the floor like a cunt many times when the opposition are getting a decent move forward JUST so he can stop the game and impede their progress, yet is never be called to justice for it. And John Terry is a dirty cheating scumbag; certainly one of the most overrated English players in the current England squad.
What goes around, comes around. haha.

True. I often have trouble agreeing with myself. Both of them.

Last night the town of Guingamp won the French cup final by beating Rennes. Not bad for a town with a population of less than 8000. This sort of Cinderella story really appeals to all those who support teams in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th divisions -- and that means a lot of people.

K2 - something similar here happened with the team Ovalle that is in the 3rd division in the Chile Cup, which includes all divisions. They made it to the final but lost.
Here since I have been sick, I had time to watch the various World Cup Qualifying games for South America. Chile 2 - Paraguay 0 Surprising game, I think most people expected us to lose. Chile has been playing well, but Paraguay is the group leader and Chile hadn't won in Paraguay in decades. If Chile beats Bolivia, and Paraguay and Brazil tie this week, Chile will be in first place.
Colombia 1 - Argentina 0 Argentina did not look good at all, their individual players are good but they don't mesh. Colombia had a lot of close shots and Argentina got really lucky none of them were goals.
Brazil 4 - Uruguay 0 Uruguay got cocky and was sure the win was theirs. Brazil looked better than they had earlier in the qualifying when they were too defensive.
Venezuela 1 - Bolivia 0 Supposedly Argentina's huge loss was due to the altitude in La Paz, but Venezuela was able to handle it just fine.
Ecuador 2 - Peru 1 No surprise here, Peru is in last place and hasn't won in ages, pretty boring game.

Well, Chile is on a roll, they are #2 in South America after beating Bolivia 4-0. Argentina probably wants Bielsa back now.

Tonight the PSG is facing Bayern Munich for the Champion's League final. Once again, the Champs Elysées is all boarded up, 15 metro stations in the area are closed, and the avenue will be closed to all motor traffic. Anybody caught without a mask will face a fine of 135 euros. And the whole area will be totally evacuated by the police 2 hours aften the end of the match, no matter who wins.
I remember when football and other sports were a time of relaxed celebration.

I’m watching Spurs v Burnley. It’s the most awful game.

I read Bobby Charlton has just died. Only leaves Geoff Hurst from the 1966 team alive.

Here’s a classic football picture. Dave McKay and Billy Bremner.
