just a couple of thoughts on things brought up much earlier in the thread - as for overpopulation, that is an issue that needs to be thought about, of course, but considering the highly different use of resources etc., it seems like i might be doing more damage by having one child, than someone in a very poor area does by having five - so when said by people in rich countries with low birth rates, it always seems a bit like trying to put the blame elsewhere ...
and the thing about the protesters themselves using social media so much and grown ups of today having used less resources when they were young, i would suppose most would have used just as much technology if given the possibility, so it wasn't really a decision - and people who are young today have to live in the world as it is today (and that they didn't create) ...

However, nobody is forced to walk around all day long holding a telephone in front of their face. I manage not to do so. However, one advantage that I have noticed is that young people step in a lot of more dog shit now due to inattention, so I guess they are helping to fertilize the world.
(I'm feeling cranky.)
