Watching a programme about how they made their hits. Very Scandinavian but I do like the music.

I rediscovered ABBA with the musical show and the movie. It also helped that I was then able to understands the songs as opposed to when I heard them first.

I think it would be difficult not to like most of the hits by Abba. Never having bought an album, I don't know what I would think about their minor songs. The hits are fluff, but they are very pleasant fluff.

I'm not sure that I would sit through a concert of Abba, but it's fun in movies like Muriel's Wedding or Mamma Mia.

Catchy melodies and easy to remember lyrics. I absorbed their hits even tho I wasn't really listening. When they were popular I was buying records by Steve Miller, Eagles, Jethro Tull and Pink Floyd etc..you get the picture.... I considered myself way too groovy for ABBA et al

They weren't 'pop Stars' whose music and lyrics were manufactured digitally. They were trained and graduate musicians, from opera to conducting orchestras. Quality will out!

Except that if they had had the digital tools back then, I'm sure they would have used them.
