This is just for Paris nerds, since there isn't really anything extraordinary about each item.
1. The longest street in Paris
The longest street in Paris is rue de Vaugirard in the 6th and 15th arrondissements. It is 4360 metres long.
In the category of avenues, there is avenue Daumesnil, which is 6270 metres long but quite a bit of it is in the Bois de Vincennes, so most people don't really count it.
There are 6290 streets in Paris.
2. The tallest buildings
The Tour Prélude in the 19th arrondissement is the tallest apartment building. 123 metres and 38 floors. In olden times when I lived nearby I would sneak in and go up to the roof. But it is only the 5th tallest structure in Paris. The tallest is the Eiffel Tower (324m), followed by the Tour Montparnasse (210 metres and 59 floors). Then there is the Hyatt Regency (formerly Concorde Lafayette) hotel at Porte Maillot (137m) and finally the Front de Seine chimney (130m).
3. The largest square
No secret here, and most of you know it: Place de la Concorde (8.64 ha). 1119 executions took place there during the Revolution. The Obelisk of Luxor is the largest sundial in the world since Roman numerals were added to the pavement in 1999.
The second largest square is Place Charles de Gaulle where the Arc de Triomphe is located. Place de la République is the 3rd largest -- 34,000m².
4. The narrowest sidewalk
This is at rue d'Orchampt in the 18th arrondissement.
5. The longest metro line
That's line 8, which is 23.36 km long, with 37 stations.
6. The narrowest building
13 quai Voltaire in the 7th arrondissement. It is 2.5 metres wide. The smallest house (I guess it's not the same as a 'building.') is at 39 rue du Château d'Eau in the 10th arrondissement. It has one door and one window. It is 1.1 metres wide and 5 metres high.
7. The shortest street
Rue des Degrés in the 2nd arrondissement. It is 5.75m long and is just a flight of 14 steps.
8. The steepest street
Rue Gasnier-Guy in the 20th arrondissement has a slope of 17.4%.
9. The largest underground rail station
Obviously, it is Châtelet-Les Halles in the centre of Paris. 1500 trains and 750,000 travellers go through there every day.
10. The widest part of the Seine in Paris
200m at the Pont de Grenelle in the 15th/16th arrondissement. The narrowest part is 30m at Quai de Montebello in the 5th arrondissement. The length of the Seine inside Paris is 13km and it is spanned by 27 bridges, 4 of which are just for pedestrians.

That's all for now.
