I am increasingly horrified by the quantity of American articles phrased like this: Besides this weird new concept of capitalizing the words black and white, I am totally perplexed by this concept of race, completely excluding bi-racial or people of mixed race. To be fair, shouldn't they be termed "Bi-Racial" or of "Mixed Race"? -- otherwise their genetics must be inferior.
I thought that most "advanced" countries were making progress in the acceptance of multiracial entities, but maybe I'm wrong. It will be interesting to see the somersaults of the media when referring to the new American vice-president. She is only "South Asian" and "Jamaican" so far, but what will they say if a new person shows up with Chinese or Mayan blood?
Frankly, it is a relief to live in a country that has stopped recognising different races.
